STRUREL: sctructural reliability analysis programs

STRUREL is a collection of software modules for probabilistic modeling in structural engineering. It offers state-of-the-art numerical methods for structural reliability analysis. STRUREL consists of the following packages:

COMREL-TI is the main package of STRUREL and targets time-invariant component reliability analysis. Arbitrarily complex limit state functions can be analyzed and a large set of reliability methods is available. Moreover, COMREL can handle arbitrary dependence structures in the stochastic model (which are based on Rosenblatt-, Hermite- or Nataf-models).

COMREL-TV is a module for time-variant component reliability analysis. Available random process models are regular or intermittent rectangular wave processes and differentiable Gaussian and non-Gaussian translation processes (Hermite or Nataf processes). The random processes can be scalar processes and vector processes. Various exceedance measures are evaluated; this includes excursion time, hazard rate and point-in-time non-availability.

SYSREL targets the numerical solution of system reliability problems as well as reliability updating. Thus, STRUREL can also handle conditional events. The definition of the stochastic model is equivalent to COMREL.

COSTREL is a module for reliability based optimization. It Covers both (i) minimization of a user definable objective function (cost function) under a reliability constraint (max. allowed failure probability) as well as (ii) minimization of the failure probability under a cost constraint and other constraints.

STATREL is a tool for (reliability-oriented) statistical data analysis (which includes also the analysis of time series).
